I have heard raving reviews about the hamburger at McSorley’s Ale House. They claim they have the ‘best burgers in soho’. So when Hubby and cousin in law wanted to go for a burger, I suggested this place. It was a Tuesday evening, and it wasn’t very crowded at all. I made sure I still made a reservation though – you just never know in Hong Kong!
Without even looking at what else was on the menu, I went straight to the ‘hamburger’ section! We all pretty much ordered the same thing – the classic burger with cheese. Hubby and I had our beef medium rare, whereas our cousin in law had it medium.
Our burgers came and it was HUGE!!!! The bun was toasted and the beef pattie was cooked medium rare. It was absolutely delish! The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were on the side – assuming that they didn’t want to make the bread the soggy. The hamburger was absolutely delicious – it certainly did satisfy my hamburger cravings!
The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was cooked to perfection. I didn’t finish all the chips as I was FULL but it was indeed great!
McSorley’s sure does have the ‘best burgers in soho’. It was different to the one at the Big Bite but it was absolutely tasty.
It was a great evening with hubby and cousin in law and they have happy hour which was an added bonus for the boys!
